Stef uses photography as a medium for blending color, texture and transparency into uncanny landscapes and worlds that ignite the imagination.

Stef’s work is characterized by the use of everyday materials and an exuberant color palette. Stef cuts and distorts matter until it’s barely recognizable, then photographs it in unexpected combinations or unusual compositions.

Soapbox

Soapbox is Stef’s first series of images. Central to this work is the use of soap—in every conceivable form, from fluffy shaving cream to viscous toothpaste. Stef uses soap not for its intended function, but to create fictional landscapes. These landscapes appear strange, yet simultaneously feel unexpectedly familiar.

Fractions

Under the title ‘Fractions,’ Stef explores the wondrous world of glass. Glass is not merely transparent; it sparkles, flickers, and refracts light in unexpected ways. In some images, Stef combines this with typography. Letterforms are twisted, bent, and rendered almost fluid, then immersed in an exuberant color palette.

Ex Floribus

Ex Floribus (Latin for "arising from flowers") is Stef’s latest series, featuring flowers as the primary element. Rather than depicting the flowers as such, Stef chooses to dismantle and cut them into abstract, almost unrecognizable shapes. Ex Floribus is an enchanting spectacle of transformed floral forms and flamboyant colors.
